Mr. Warren Buffet Berkshire Hathaway Inc. 1440 Kiewit Plaza Omaha, NE 68131 Dear Mr. Buffet: It is with reluctance that I write this letter to you requesting financial assistance. Even so, I am in financial need. I reached the "tender" age of_?ighty?eight last month: February 24th. I am in fairly good conditioanor a person my age. I am diabetic, and have been for sixteen years. I don't walk too well; as I-fell and injured my right knee and ankle four weeks ago. I get around slowly. I?am a retired North Carolina State retired employee, having re? tired in June 1985. I do receive retirement and social security. Even so, my financial plight began last September trying to help my son who had served time in prison because of foolishness. It has affected his chance of gaining employment. Therefore, I have aided him financially. This has caused me to be delinquent in paying my personal bills: house mortgage with Wells Fargo and other personal debts that I owe. For the past two months I have overdrawn my bank account at Southern Bank, and have had to make personal loans from friends in order to "stay above the water." I have even fallen behind in paying my church tithes. My 1991 Dodge is skipping and about to stop on me. I really need a new car. But I am not asking you to help me in this instance. However I'am in need of six thousand dollars I would very much appreciate your helping me out of my financial bind, if you will. If you need further information, please let me know. Yours truly,
