Public Citizen Litigation Group 1600 20th Street, NW Washington, DC. 20009 RE: My Client: Dr. Mitul Patel Dear Mr. Levy: This letter is to advise you that I have been retained to represent Mitul Patel, DDS, regarding the contents of your blo g, dated Friday, August 19, 2016, entitled ?Georgia Dentist Mitul Patel Takes Phony Litigation Scheme to New Extremes Trying to Suppress Criticism?. Based upon a review of your blo g, which has unfortunately gone viral, please be advised that the contents of your blog are grossly inaccurate, factually incorrect, and were obviously written for no other purpose but to gain publicity for your blog, and to willfully damage the name and reputation of Dr. Patel. Prior to your blo being published, Dr. Patel had no knowledge whatsoever regarding the lawsuit that was ?led in the Maryland Circuit Court, Mitul R. Patel vs. Mathew Chan, No. 24- C16003573. Dr. Patel never ?led the Complaint, never signed the Complaint, and never authorized any individual or company to ?le the Complaint on his behalf. Nor would Dr. Patel ever authorize such a Complaint to be ?led on his behalf. Furthermore, Dr. Patel never signed the Consent Motion for Injunction and Final Judgment. From all indication, someone or some company apparently forged Dr. Patel?s signature to the Complaint and Consent Motion, and I would fully anticipate that someone or some company also forged Mr. Chan?s signature [in addition to misspelling his name on the pleadings]. Paul Alan Levy, Esq. August 22, 2016 Page 2 of 2 It is apparent, that for some unknown reason, someone or some company has engaged in what is clearly fraudulent activity, which has severely damaged Dr. Patel?s name and professional reputation. In addition, based upon the facts in this case, it is apparent that some type of fraudulent activity has been perpetrated upon the Maryland Circuit Court and Judge Philip S. Jackson. We will continue to aggressively investigate this matter, and determine whether such fraudulent activity has violated any type of criminal law, and whether such person or company will be liable to Dr. Patel for the damage that this has caused to his professional name and reputation. Therefore, I am requesting that you immediately retract your blo regarding this matter, that you publish this response on your blog, and that you immediately issue a formal apology to Dr. Patel on your blog.
