I hope you and your colleagues are holding up during this very challenging time. Please know that
helping the people of Louisiana is our absolute top priority at the American Red Cross.

We were very concerned when we read the article in the Baton Rouge Advocate with comments

from Richard Carbo, the Govemor?s spokesperson. I wanted to reach out to let you know that we?ve
been working closely with your team to develop a transition plan for your shelters that will meet your
expectations. We will present the ?nal plan today. We?ve been in conversations with Ms. Kimberly
Robinson (Secretary, Department of Revenue) and Ms. Marketa Garber Walters (Secretary, Department
of Children and Family Services), and have been working the plan?s details with the staff of Ms. Terri
Ricks (Assistant Secretary, Department of Children and Family Services).

Please let me know if there is more that we can do or other staff from your side that should be included
in the discussion. I?ll also send you the response that we will post to the article, once it?s complete.
