I am pleased to be able to offer to the City County of Honolulu, on behalf of the State
of Hawaii and for nominal consideration, all the State?s right, title and interest in the streets at
Kakaako which are the subject of City Council Resolution 160.13 and Act 232 of the 2016
HaWaii Legislature.

Your acceptance of this offer will simpli? and expedite the eminent domain process
envisioned in Resolution 16-213 and allow you to focus on other parties who may claim
ownership of the streets in question. Further, the residents, business owners and everyone who
traverses the streets of Kakaako will bene?t from the City and County?s stewardship and unique
ability to address the troublesome issues that were discussed at the September 19, 2016 City
Cooncil meeting.
