Dear Hon. Cuomo:

Over the period of the last 4 years, it has been my pleasure to serve on the
Empire State Development Corporation Board of Directors. 1 have
appreciated the opportunity to both witness and be a part of the strategic
economic development implemented across New York State, especially in
Western New York. Your vision and focus should be commended.

Working with my esteemed Board colleagues on both capital investments and
job creation throughout New York State and in Western New York has been
the most profound experience in my 30-year career.

At this time, the pressures of our business are such that I will no longer be

able to dedicate the time necessary to serve you and the citizens of the State of
New York as a member of the ESDC Board.

Please accept this letter as my resignation from the Board effective April 11
2014.
