Mediation through Texas Education Agency November 1, 2016 Mediation was held at the Frankston ISD Administration Of?ce. The mediator was Brenda Jarden- Holter. The parents were represented by Eric Kwarlter and Kimberly Ashworth. Mr. and Mrs. Kliebert were participants. Frankston ISD was represented by Superintendent John Allen and Assistant Superintendent Nicci Cook, along with John C. Hardy, attorney for the district. Discussions were held and an agreement was reached. The agreement is as follows: 1. ISD will provide Child Find training to the high school staff by February 15, 2017. The district is authorized to use Region 7 or Anderson County Special Education Cooperative for training. 2. Student will continue to receive tutorials through advisory period. Additional help can be requested for speci?c subjects. 3. Mrs. Cindy Owens, FHS Counselor, will be an onsite resource. Student may also report to Mrs. Nicci Cook or Mr. John Allen with concerns. Student will continue with credit recovery programs, including Odysseyware. Student will be evaluated and/or monitored through the district Dyslexia program and receive services as appropriate. District will complete appropriate testing and evaluation on student. ISD will provide training on interventions to the high school staff. Student will continue to receive apprOpriate 504 accommodations. District agrees to the payment of 5,000 for costs and attomey?s fees. 99?39 Agreed and accepted on the ?rst day of November, 2016.
