SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Review the Rule Act 5 of 2016’’. 6 7 SEC. 2. CRIMINAL PROCEDURE RULES. (a) IN GENERAL.—Notwithstanding the order en- 8 tered by the Supreme Court of the United States on April 9 28, 2016— ALB16929 S.L.C. 2 1 (1) effective on the date of enactment of this 2 Act, rule 41 of the Federal Rules of Criminal Proce- 3 dure is amended to read as it read on November 17, 4 2016; and 5 (2) the proposed amendments to rule 41 of the 6 Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure set forth in 7 such order shall take effect on July 1, 2017. 8 (b) APPLICABILITY.—Notwithstanding the amend- 9 ment made by subsection (a)(1), for any warrant issued 10 under rule 41 of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure 11 during the period beginning on December 1, 2016, and 12 ending on the date of enactment of this Act, such rule 13 41, as was in effect on the date on which the warrant 14 was issued, shall apply with respect to the warrant.
