and your request for a review of the building by the Tenant Protection Unit.

As you are aware, the rent-setting process for the 421-a program is conducted by the New York City
Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD). Accordingly, you may want to pursue
the matter with HPD ?rst to ensure that all rents have been properly set. In addition, any tenant may
?le with our agency?s Of?ce of Rent Administration if they feel they are being overcharged and every
claim will be handled pursuant to law.
