As a councilman, are you concerned about the recent news channel five reports on school director expenses, and the boards response? I understand you have no vote to 7 exercise in school matters, but what is your position or thoughts since this is taxpayers $? You can call me if you would like after three rather than texting me. My response: Happy to share my position on that. Very disappointed in news channel 5. That has all the earmarks of a witchhunt to me. Taxpayers should be more concerned about the money we are spending answering these open record requests from Phil Williams. I have no reason to believe that Dr. Joseph is not working very hard at his job. I think it's sad that we welcome him to Nashville with this kind of investigative reporting. I believe we can find way more to talk about in other areas of our government spending. People I know who are close to the situation confirm that he works very hard in his vehicle as he moves from location to location. I agree the optics of this or not the greatest, but The reality is we can do a much better job of finding waste other than this. Hank, I was personally disgusted by this report. I was also very disappointed that news channel 5 chose to air a statement by Steve Glover and no one else from the council. Please know that Councilman Glover absolutely does not represent the viewpoint of all other councilmembers on this issue. My view is completely opposite from his and I'm happy to stand behind it. Please let Dr. Joseph know that he has my full and complete support. And I also have absolutely no problem with how he conducts his business. Looks to me like he's all about efficiency. I like that.
