Rights has received a complaint tiled against Morgan State Universitv (the Universitv
alleging sex discrimination. 



 

 

 

 

 

OCR enforces Title oi" the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX) and its implementing
regulation. 34 C.F.R. Part which prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex by recipients of
Federal ?nancial assistance from the Department. As a recipient of Federal ?nancial assistance
from the Department. the University is subject to Title IX and its implementing regulations.

We will investigate this allegation because OCR has jurisdiction and this allegation was ?led
timely. Please note that investigating this allegation in no way implies that OCR has decided its
merit. During the im-estigation. OCR is a neutral fact??nder, collecting and analyzing relevant
