Af?davit in Support of Probable Cause November 1: 2016 Juvenile: Andrew Ealcer U.) 10 Pine Knoll Road Winthrop Me On Monday October Blst, 2016, at approximately 1:42 AM the Winthrop Police Department received a 911 call from ANDREW T. BALCER During this 911 call, ANDREW T. BALCER stated that he had killed his morn, dad, and his dog. ANDREW provided his address as 10 Pine Knoll Rd, Winthrop. ANDREW detailed that he had stabbed his mother, his father, and the family dog. parents are ANTONEO BALCER and ALICE BALCER. When asked, ANDREW indicated that there was a lot of blood. ANDREW mentioned that they (his parents)were beyond help and de?nitely dead. At 1:54 AM, WhithIOp Of?cer Tyler NADEAU and Monmouth Of?cer Daria WESSLING arrived at the residence. ANDREW BALCER exited the residence and was taken into custody Without incident. While lying on the ground, ANDREW requested that they (the police) make sure his brother is ANDREW uttered that his ?brother is going to need counseling after this.? ANDREW BALCER also commented that ?he is going to need ?nancial assistance? because they were his only means of ?nancial support. Of?cer NADEAU observed some wet red] brown stains on ANDREW clothing. Of?cer NADEAU noted that ANDREW BALCER was wearing a white t?shirt with a saying on the front, grey athletic pants (sweatpants), and grey Sketcher loafers. WinthrOp Police Chief Ryan FROST arrived at the residence. Chief FROST knelt down to ask ANDREW BALCER if he was injured or if he had an accident. ANDREW BALCER told Chief FROST that ?no, the blood was from my parents?.? Of?cer NADEAU transported ANDREW EALCER to the Winthrop Police Department. When at the police department, Of?cer NADEAU observed more red/ brown stains on ANDREW clothing. Of?cer NADEAU noticed red/ brown stains on ANDREW face and around his ankles. At 5:36 AM, Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit (MCU) Det. Christopher CRAWFORD interviewed Monmouth Police Of?cer Dana During this interview= Of?cer WESSLING told Det. CRAWFORD that he had responded to assist Police Officer NADEAU with tie emergency call at 10 Pine Knoll Rd. in Winthrop. E?r a? Ton?.5 it?? QAUEVK 4? ?Fch (newt?) l0. ll. 14. Of?cer WESSLENG indicated that he assisted Of?cer NADEAU to take a young male into custody. Officer noted that the male was compliant. O??icer observed the male to be covered in red/ brown stains. Officer informed Det. CRAWFORD that he had conducted a protective sweep of the residence with Winthrop Chief FROST. During the sweep, Of?cer SLTN observed a deceased male subject lying on his back the kitchen of the residence. The male was lying in a large pool of blood. Officer noted that it appeared the male had been stabbed. Of?cer also observed a K?Bar style knife stuck in the floor in close proximity of the male. Of?cer WESSLING also'explained that he observed a deceased female body in a rear bedroom of the residence. This body was face down and had hair covering its face. O?icer observed a slit in the back of the shirt and What appeared to be a stab wound on the back. Officer WESSLING indicated that he observed a handgun on the kitchen counter. The handgun appeared to have red] brown stains on it. - Officer added that he had overheard the male subject utter to Chief FROST something about his brother. The male subject stated something like let him go or live.? Detective on Heimbach advised that he Spoke to Deputy Medical Examiner Clare Bryce on November 1, 2016. Dr. Bryce advised Detective Heimbach that the deceased mate, ANTONIO BALCER, had 13 stab woueds to the chest and torso based on the preliminary medical examination at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
