Hi Sheryl,

There is a budget office initiative in place to look into general fund expenditures and finding ways of
paying services with non-general funds. In my role as the PFC) for DCFS, I am reviewing all contracts,
grants, etc. to assist in this effort. It?s my understanding that some grants (SSBG, TAN F, CCDF) will be
managed out of the commissioner?s office at some point; however a date has not yet been finalized.
it?s my understanding there may already be a plan for the going forward. Given
this, are there any opportunities to consider in this initiative to move other
general fund expenses/services to federal funds, or has a budget plan already been finalized for all
of transfer?
