Thank you for your request for information received on 315' January 2017. Regarding
your request, I have summarised the questions and where relevant marked where
responses have already been provided to you.

1. How many RIPSA Section 49 Orders have been issued by Police Scotland --

2. Of these, how many were complied with? -- answered by Police
3. Where there was a non-compliance, how many were subsequently taken to
trial under section 53(1) and in how many cases was a successful conviction
achieved?
4. In each case where a Section 49 order was issued please provide an
aggregated summary of the types of devices the orders related to

The only piece of information left outstanding that SCTS can provide is therefore in
relation to point 3, confirming how many cases went to trial and resulted in a conviction.
This information is provided in the table below.
