--Chicago. Back in August and September 1994, my

cousin Roberto Almodovar Jr. and his girlfriend Sassy were living
with us along with their baby.

2. 1 remember the night of August 31 -- September 1, 1994.
I remember that night because there was a big argument, and
because September 1 was my first day of school. I ended up
staying up until about 1:30 am because Of a argument that
involved Roberto and Sassy. My mother was very upset that this
argument was keeping me up on a school night.

31 Sometime after 10:00 pm, Roberto and Sassy got into a
big argument which was very loudi Part of the time I was in my
room, and I could hear them arguing hecause the house is not very
big. Most of the time I was sitting in the living room, which is
in the front room of the house. Roberto and Sassy's room was
right next to the living room. They were in their room part of
the time and in the living room part of the time.

4. At some point that night, my cousin Sergio Jr. and his
wife Amaris, who is Sassy's sister, came over to try to calm

things down. It took (mite a while for things to get calmed
