March 8, 2017 BY ELECTRONIC MAIL AND REGISTERED MAIL The Honorable Richard Burr and Mark Warner U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence 211 Hart Senate Office Building Washington, D.C. 20510 Subject: Surveillance of Trump Tower – Evidence for Consideration before U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Dear Senator Burr and Senator Warner: As continuation of our initial cooperation in resolving the illegal activities committed by Clinton campaign associates against me and many other Americans during the 2016 election, I wanted to provide some essential and very timely information. Members of your Committee and many of your colleagues in the U.S. Congress have been frequently asked by the media and your constituents this week whether the hostile, potentially criminal surveillance allegedly committed by members of the last Administration would also be taken into consideration during forthcoming reviews of the 2016 election. I was especially excited when Senator Burr said that your Committee, “will follow the evidence where it leads, and we will continue to be guided by the intelligence and facts as we compile our findings.” 1 In this regard, please bear in mind that recent news alleges that FISA warrants and other U.S. intelligence community assets had been leveraged as a political stunt, instigated in large part by the false evidence introduced by Clinton campaign associates against me.2 Thus, I wanted to immediately provide the Committee with some highly factual evidence along the lines of what Senator Burr alluded to, in stark contrast to the extensive false evidence illegally introduced by the Clinton campaign and associates previously. On Fox News Channel’s The O'Reilly Factor and other lower-rated television shows, the topic of whether Trump Tower was under surveillance last year came up in the discussion over recent nights. Having spoken in favor of some of Mr. Trump’s policies on other Fox News Group programs during the 2016 campaign as a campaign surrogate3 and given the peaceful relationship 1 Russell Berman, “How Seriously Will Congress Investigate Trump's Wiretap Claim?” The Atlantic, March 7, 2017. I have had with Russian citizens since my years in the U.S. Navy, it may be understandable why I would be an associated political target if such sick activities had indeed been committed as alleged in the previously cited media reports. For your information, I have frequently dined in Trump Grill, had lunch in Trump Café, had coffee meetings in the Starbucks at Trump Tower, attended events and spent many hours in campaign headquarters on the fifth floor last year. As a sister skyscraper in Manhattan, my office at the IBM Building (590 Madison Avenue) is literally connected to the Trump Tower building by an atrium. So if prior media reports may be believed that surveillance was indeed undertaken against me and other Trump supporters, it should be essentially deemed as a proven fact that the American people’s concerns that Trump Tower was under surveillance last year is entirely correct. Please note that my mobile phone is always turned on and with me 24-hours a day, except when I am airplane-mode during flights. Although I have been frequently mocked in the media for related reasons, I have a chronic medical condition that requires me to carry my mobile with me at all times for access to the associated app. All of this is particularly relevant following recent allegations surrounding surveillance techniques.4 As an early Trump campaign supporter since June 2015 and a proud member of the historic Make America Great Again movement, yet another attack against me of this sort may well have been a de facto attack against the citizen who would eventually become our current President of the United States. Clearly, such potential abuses should be investigated as part of your future proceedings. In an initial step to begin uncovering such potential illegal activities, I asked former Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Lisa Monaco about these apparent violations of U.S. civil rights at a breakfast meeting on January 10, 2017. I was pressured by a pro-Obama Administration/Clinton campaign journalist to be quiet as she scolded me to end my question promptly. However, the full request for information I originally had planned to ask her is summarized in my intended question transcript: “During the past half year, partisan political actors in the Clinton campaign and Congress have pushed the FBI to harass opposition party members through sham investigations based solely on false allegations that they themselves made up. As reported in the NY Times, agents at the Bureau saw through these corrupt attempts to abuse power as they found no basis for such conspiracy theories.5 More recently, other news reports have stated that the intelligence arm of the FBI has sought a FISA court warrant to pursue enhanced surveillance methods on U.S. citizens, similarly on baseless allegations.6 Since so much of the broader wild goose chase has been based on innuendo and unnamed sources, can you please shed some light on the results of this recent FISA investigation? 4 Roger Cheng and Alfred Ng, “The CIA may be spying on us with our own phones,” CNET, March 8, 2017. Thank you.” Not surprisingly and perhaps related to a potential cover-up, Ms. Monaco’s response to my truncated question completely avoided the core civil rights violation which may have occurred.7 As previously expressed, I am exceptionally grateful that your Committee and other entities within the U.S. Congress may now get to the bottom of these and other extensive offenses. Thank you again for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
