ANDREW DAVID McMinnville PD On March 8th, 2017 at 4:58 pm, McMinnville Police of?cers were dispatched to a residential area in McMinnville, Yamhiil County, Oregon regarding a shooting that had just occurred. When of?cers arrived, Victim 1 was contacted as he was being treated by paramedics. Victim 1 had been shot in the face one time and the hip one time. Victim 1 told medics that Andrew Vineyard had shot him. Andrew Vineyard was identi?ed as a 15 year old who lives at a residence in McMinnvilIe. Shortly after, Andrew Vineyard called 911 from a few blocks away stating that he had just killed Victim 2 and shot Victim 1. Vineyard was taken into custody by Yamhiil County Sheriff Deputies. We checked the residence for Victim 2 and located Victim 2 deceased in the residence. Victim 2 was wrapped in a blanket on the bed. I learned from Yamhill County Sheriff Detective Steele that Andrew Vineyard described how he killed Victim 2. I learned that Vineyard said that he had shot Victim 1 two times with a handgun. Detective Steele also told me that Vineyard described trying to clean up the scene. I saw Victim 2 and attended the autopsy other conducted by the Oregon State Medical Examiner. The Medical Examiner con?rmed that the injuries ca using her death were consistent with the description described by Vineyard. Although the State Medical Examiner has not made a formal ruling on her cause of death, she had signi?cant injuries which included a cut to the throat and neck area and blunt force trauma to the head and skull. Andrew Vineyard is in the custody ofthe Yamhill County Sheriff?s Of?ce and is currently lodged at the Yamhill County Juvenile Detention Center for Murder, Attempted Murder, Assault in the ?rst Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
