I'd like to give DWR the chance to comment. My questions are: 1. Do you think there were design flaws? 2. Is the accusation of construction flaws accurate? 3. Maintenance, specifically trees growing too close is cited in the report. Is that true? 4. There's quite a bit about 4 inch pipes vs 6 inch pipes. How thick is the measured concrete on top of those pipes? I hope to hear from you soon, my deadline is 4 pm. today. Regards, Dan Reidel Reporter Chico Enterprise-Record 400 E. Society on Dams. The forensics analysis team is reviewing thousands of documents and recent geotechnical information taken from the spillway. They will base their analysis not on original design drawings but on actual construction there is a difference and all of the facts, which are being collected and evaluated. The forensics analysis team is a group of internationally renowned experts in various technical fields. We look forward to the team?s final report, which will be made public. In the meantime, as directed by the Governor, the state Division of Safety of Dams is paying special attention to spillways statewide in the course of its annual inspections, including geologic assessments and hydrological modeling.
