Re: Notice of Claim
Dear Mayor Huether:

Our law ?rm has been retained to represent the Estate of Ethan McMahon and John
Finton McMahon with regard to the collapse of the Copper Lounge and Skelly?s buildings on
December 2, 2016 and any claims they may have as a result of the collapse, including personal
injury and death claims based upon, but not limited to, negligence.-

This letter is intended to provide the City of Sioux Falls with notice of a potential claim
against it pursuant to SDCL 3-21-2 and At this time it is undetermined if there is a
claim against the City of Sioux Falls. Our investigation is continuing and we are simply
providing the notice to preserve the claim should one develop. Nothing in this letter may be -
construed to remit, reduce, alter, modify, Waive or otherwise affect any of the rights under the
law possessed by the Estate of Ethan McMahon or John inton McMahon.

additional information you may need to consider this claim or to investigate the background of
