NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE TO BIDDERS Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts Phase 1 Site Work Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Greensboro, in the office of the Facilities Division, 514 Yanceyville Street, Greensboro, NC, up to 2:00 p.m., legal local time, June 20, 2017 and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, material, and equipment entering into the construction for Phase 1 Site Work for the new Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts in Greensboro, NC. Plans, specifications, and contract documents will be available online on May 23, 2017 at the following web address: https://walterrobbs.sharefile.com/d-sac8dae3165d4c2b8. Plans will not be available through plan rooms. No partial sets of documents will be issued. The base bid work will include but not be limited to selective demolition of existing parking lot areas, rough grading, installation of all utilities, including water, storm, and sewer from the road to within 20’-0” of the proposed STPAC building. The project will contain two alternates. The first alternate entails the extension of a Duke Power duct bank as indicated on the Phase 1 site drawings. The second alternate includes extending all utilities to within 5’-0” of the proposed STPAC building. The successful bidder will coordinate and work with the Owner for delivery & execution of this contract and scope of work. A pre-bid meeting will be held May 25, 2017 at 10:00am in the conference room at the former Greensboro Chamber of Commerce Building at 342 N. Elm Street in downtown Greensboro. Interested firms are encouraged to visit the site and familiarize themselves with the project before bidding. General Contractors are notified that Chapter 87, Article 1, General Statutes of North Carolina, will be observed in receiving and awarding general contracts. General contractors submitting bids on this project must have license classification for general construction – unlimited (set forth the license classification required under G.S. 87-1).
