Later at about 1:52 AM, operatives of Imus City Police Station (CPS) arrested five persons in Brgy Malagasang 2-A, Imus City, Cavite. The suspects were arrested for violation of RA 9165 were Manolito Bueno, Roel Alarcon, Ruemar Jayme, Sonny Citra and Melvin V. Laitan. Six sachets of suspected shabu were confiscated. The arrested persons and the confiscated items were brought to Imus CPS for proper disposition. Anti-illegal drug operations in Laguna (PNP) On 13 April 2017 at about 4:30 AM, operatives of Sta. Rosa CPS arrested five persons in Brgy Balibago, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna during a buy-bust operation. They were identified as Norodin Mamalinta Jr, Jerson Garzon, Christopher R. Garcia, Ricardo Ryan Borja and Catherine M. Joaquin. Confiscated were one sachet of suspected shabu, two caliber .38 revolver and 10 ammunitions, three cell phones and one Toyota Vios. Anti-illegal drug operations in Rizal (PNP) On 13 April 2017 at about 2:15 AM, operatives of Morong MP8 arrested Mona Liza Geremillo during an anti-illegal drug operation at Brgy 8an Guillemo, Morong, Rizal. Confiscated from her possession was drug paraphernalia with traces of suspected shabu. The arrested person and the confiscated items were brought to Morong MP8 for proper disposition. Agusan Pequeno, Butuan City, Agusan del Norte. Confiscated items were four sachets of suspected shabu and Php1,000.00 fake money. TERRORISM Kidnapping attempt in Suiu (AFP) On 13 April 2017 at 11:15 AM, a certain Mary Jane Garcia, resident of Brgy Walled City, Jolo, Sulu reported to Jolo MPS that two unidentified men tried to abduct her and her daughter at Serrantes St., Brgy Chinese Pier, Jolo, Suiu. Police proceeded to the area and were able to locate the suspects. However, the later fired upon the responding PNP personnel resulting in a short exchange of fires. One of the suspect identified as Julpadar Pandi was killed while P03 Alimanda Gonzales was wounded. The other suspect was able to escape. P03 Gonzales was rushed to Jolo Hospital for medical treatment. Recovered was one cal.45 pistol with magazine and six live ammunition. Shoo?ngin Zamboanga del Sur (AFP) On 13 April 2017 at 2:30 PM, members of Dinas MPS, Zamboanga del Sur led by PSI Felixberto Rule Jr while serving warrant of arrest to a high value target named Salik Samin alias Kumander Karding, were fired by undetermined number of fully armed men believed to be the group of Samin at Purok Pasayan, Brgy Binuatan, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur. The exchange of fire lasted for around 30 minutes with a reported casualty. The suspect has a standing warrant of arrest for multiple murder, double frustrated murder, multiple attempted murder, illegal possession of firearms and direct assault. The suspect was also involved in the ambush of 53rd Infantry Battalion (IB) personnel that resulted in the death of 2LT Joseph Cartagena PA last 21 November 2016. 53lB Scout Platoon led by 2LT Ronald Fuentes PA linked up with MP8 Dinas for the conduct of pursuit operation. Cabcaban, Sumisip, Basilan Province. The 39th EODT conducted blast?in place at said barangay. Later at 1:50 PM troops of Scout Platoon, 64IB under 1LT Nathaniel Nolial PA discovered an IED while conducting combat patrol along the trail at vicinity Brgy. Baiwas, Sumisip. Operating troops of secured the area and marked the location while waiting for the EODT. Armed suspects apprehended in Maguindanao (APP) On 13 April 2017 at 11:55 AM, troops of Charlie Company, led by Rogelio Agustin PA and elements of Gen Salipada Pendatun MPS while manning a checkpoint apprehended two armed suspects in Brgy Badak, Gen Salipada Pendatun, Maguindanao. The suspects were identified as 44-year old Adam Ugalinan and 16?year old Pahmodin Adam Ugalinan. Confiscated from their possession were two M1 Garand rifles. Apprehended persons were brought to the police station for proper disposition while coordination was made to DSWD to arrange the turn-over of the minor suspect. Anti-illegal gambling operation (PNP) On 13 April 2017 at about 2:30 AM, operatives of Dasmari?as CPS during anti-illegal gambling operation arrested eight persons at Brgy Sampaloc 4, Dasmari?as City, Cavite: Frederick Cos, Marianito Cos, Rolando Dc. Coranes, Merlito Maladion, Danilo D. San Miguel, Jordan A. San Miguel, Jestoni B. Zaraguza, and Doroteo C. Cagis. Recovered items were two aluminum foil strips, two sachets containing suspected shabu, 80 pieces of one peso coin and video karera machine. The number of ASG killed in the encounter numbered to six. An additional one from previously reported. Those killed were identified as: Constancio Petalco, Cresinta Petalco, one alias Abu Rami and three others still unidentified. The Petalco couple were residents of Sitio llaya, Brgy Napo, Inabanga and owner of the house where the ASG stayed during the time of encounter. Accordingly, Cresinta was a relative (aunt) of Joselito Melloria Abu Ali, who reportedly guided the ASG in the said place. Investigation is currently ongoing as to their involvement during the encounter.
