Pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 17(c), Plaintiff-Appellant
Naruto, a Crested Macaque ("Appellant"), by and through his Next Friends, People
for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, Inc. ("PETA") and Antje Engelhardt, Ph.D.
("Dr. Engelhardt"), respectfully submits this notice to inform the Court that
Dr. Englehardt will not continue as a next friend to Appellant in this proceeding.
In the proceedings below, Appellant's rights were represented by both Dr.
Engelhardt and PETA. Going forward, PET A will be solely responsible for
maintaining this litigation and for fulfilling the duties of a next friend. There have
been no prior orders concerning Dr. Engelhardt's status as a next friend.
