While en-mute the advised me shots were being fired from the residenee. Prior to my arrival the dispatch told me the weapon had been put away inside the residence of 5941 Rolling Hills Ln. When I arrived,-- 06-07-86 stated the rnale resident at 5941 Rolling Hills Ln, who was later identified as James Hodgkinson punched his girlfriend in the race with a closed fist. went to 5941 to speak with him about the battery. When - reached the outside porch area Hodgkinsan walked outside with a shotgun and aimed it at to get away from the shotgiut and was struck in the Icfl side ofhis head with the wooden stock by Hodgkinson. Afim- -was struck he started running back to 5962 when the male subject shot one round. It was unknown at the time of this report if the subject fired the round a- or in the air. When_ finished telling his side of the storyl spoke with his girlfriend - --. - stated while inside the residence at 5962 with her friend I 'The male subject from 5941 who was identified as James T. Hodgkinson 12-12-50 .father" forced the front door open and came inside, Once inside the residenee James started screaming for was in an up stairs bedroom and came down to see what her father wanted. James told. to get your stuff its time to come hon-re. mid, James she wanted to stay at the residence until her friend came home then went up stair's into a bedroom and locked the door. James followed to the bedmom and started cursing and asking where she was James forced the bedroom door open and tolt :0 get up. was trying to hide next to Ihe bed on the flour. Once again stated "No" and James became violent. James grabbed by the hair and pulled her ufflhe floor, Afier was of? the floor she attempted to run away James would not release his gap and threw gm the floor. 5 friend - heard screaming and went up stairs. -observed James throwing around the bedroom area was able to get away from James and ran into an adjacent bedroom and went on top of the bed. James came to the vehicle and opened the passenger's door where was seated. - attempted to back out orthe driveway but couldn't because James had the door open. Afier James could not get 'out he reached inside the door and turned ofrthe ignition. James then pulled out a possible pocket knife and cut seatbelt. Afler the seal bell was cut, mother Suzanne M. Hodgidnson came to the vehicle Suzanne started fighting with striking her in the arms and pulling hair in attempt to get her out of the vehicle. Suzanne had no success getting nut of the vehicle by Striking her so she grabbed . 5 legs to drag her out. - helr 5 arms to ltcep her inside the vehicle. Suzanne finally gave up and told "I'll just call the police and put you back into foster care." believed at that time Suzanne walked away but was not sure because James started grabbing her once again. James was choking while she was holding onto the steering wheel ofthe vehicle. During the struggle had her Blue Belleville West sweat shin ripped. -told James she was going to call the police, James became upset and punched-in the {toe with a closed fist. Atter the punch James leit the area and went to his residence across the street. Iobserved red marks on right arm and lefl side ofher neck. 1 further observed hair which were pulled out on the ripped sweat shirt did not came marks on -or - Afler gathering the above information I waited for Deputy's Quit-in and Pirtle to arrive, Once (1an and Pin]: anived we made contact with James at his residence. 1 recovered an Ithaca model 300, lz-gauge with serial number s711239o from the kitchen leaning on the north wall for evidence. James was taken into custody with handcuffs in fiont because of shoulder problem. During the frisk I recovered and seemed small pocket knife which was placed into evidence. Deputy Quirin took into custody and secured her in the rear ofhi: unit. A fired 12 gauge shot gun easing'was found near the front porch enhe residence in the yard which I took for evidmce. Deputy Frisse arrived on scene and transported to the St. Clair County Sheriff Department. I transported James and Deputy Quinn transported Suzanne. Once at the Jail I placed a hold on H1168 for Aggravated Discharge of A Firearm and Domestic Battery. Suzanne also had a hold placed for Dnn'leslic Battery. Non-Trainc Complaints at 5013454 (Battery), #5013455 (Unlawful Damage To Motor Vehicle), and #5013456 (Battery) were signed against James. The Non--Traffic: were not served and are awaiting the outcome of the felony charges. All the listed Evidence was secured in St. Clair County Evidence 23 Cathy?s sister Julie S. Simpson 11-14- took custody of her. 76 responded to the Sheriff?s Department at approximately 2255hrs and Note: Deputy Quirin took pictures of all the victims along with the evidence listed in this report.
