Overall, the conditions of the nearshore area of the Nipigon Bay
AOC appeared to be stable or improving slightly in comparison to
earlier conditions

v

The immediate area offshore of the former Norampac mill was
clearly impacted by historical discharges and industrial activity
v

v

it was expected that no further degradation would occur given the mill had been shut-down,
and potential upstream sources of contamination (i.e., WWTP) had been further controlled.
