Kershaw telephoned the following statement to The Inquuer: have been in contact with both Don Dickerson and Bill Oeser (William H. Oeser.- 7427 N. let st.) as well as the parents of the boys involved. I know that both leaders are reliable and have good judgment. The tragedy was not their fault in any way. The boys camp out in a certain loca- tion. which they use as a base {or a week or two while exploring the surrounding territory. They then move on to the next objective. INSURANCE AWARD In 1953, Dickerson received the Harold R. Gordon Award. a grant of 81500 from the Health and Ac- cident Underwriters. to assist him in the pmparation and publication of a thesis in the held 01 health and accident insurance.
