Subject: RE: Safety Report I agree the process doesn?t seem to be working. i am copying between consults at tirnes to cover the errors involved in the system and to protect my license should something happen to these Veterans while they are awaiting the absurdly long process of VA Choice. lam happy to be involved in any way to make this work, but in the end this shows how inferior the system is to doing these lifesaving tests here at the VA. Our Veterans are waiting for care that they didn?t wait for before we allowing the nuclear department?to close and eventually there will be a significant adverse outcome. lam happy to no longer comment on the VA Choice mileage consults but that doesn?t fix the fact that these Veterans are getting lost and no one seems to care. This is nowhere near a Veteran Centric or veteran safe practice and definitely doesn?t meet best practice muster.
