Madam Sir.

iJiease refer to our eariier several letters 8: meetings in which it was clarified that any
Advertisement/Surrogate Advertisement of Tobaccos at point of safe 8: other places in any
form is a punishabie offence under section 5 of Cigarette 8c other Tobacco Products Act 
moose refer to Our iast. letter sent on 05-04201? vide ietter no ENG. 
1656633 in which it was clarified that the company is responsible for such violations.

As per GSR 345 (E) Dated of COTPA and decision of Hon'bie Supreme Court in the

matte-r of Health for vs. Union of India and others dated 03/01/2013, display boa rd for
aosertisement of tobacco products has only been ailowed at Point of Sale [tobacco shop, kiosks,
so! Fog point etc] with foilowing condition-

. ?Size size of the board used for the advertisement for cigarettes and any other tobacco
shall not exceed 60cm 45cm.

. Each such board snail contain in and indian Language as appiicable one of the foliowing
heaith warnings occupying the top edge of the board in a prominent manner measuring
28cm 15cm, nameiy-

heaith warning must be promineat, iegible and in black colour with a white background.
0 The display board shaii only list the type of tobacco products available and no brand pack
shot, brand name of the tobacco product or other promotional message and picture shaii

be displayed on the board. The display board snail not be backlit or minated in any
manner.

meteor moors etc of advertisement and surrogate advertisements of tobacco products from POS 
r: ates at Delhi by 30-04-201? positively failing which legal action can be initiated against the

Therefore under section 5 of COTPA 2003, through this letter, Philip Morris International
Company is served Strict Compliance Notice to remove all such violations from P05 other places
from throughout Delhi State immediately 8: positively by 30?04409. After 30-04401? If any
violation under section 5 of COTPA is visible or reported from any part of Delhi at P05 or other
place 8.. pertains to Philip Morris international company then Philip Morris international company

will be held responsible for this violation 8: Legal action will be initiated against the company as
per com 2003.
