CONTACT WITH SHEPARD. DO

I then contacted Shepard who was detained in Of?cer Fetter?s patrol vehicle. [advised Shepard I
would like to speak to him and he consented to be interviewed at the police station. I then transported
Shepard to the BuckleyF Police Department and at around 0321 hours began an audio recorded interview. At
around {1323 hours I advised Shepard of his Constitutional Rights from a prepared form. Shepard, when
asked, stated he understood his rights and mold voluntarily answer quomioos. During the interview Shepard
stated that he had worked at Rainier State School for 34 years and had worked on 2005 Quinattlt Court for 20
years. Shepard stated that he got to work at around 220B hours and began his shift at 2215 horas. Shepard
stated that he had been the house charge (supervisor) For his shi?. Shepard stated Working on
his house. Shepard told me that he knew Stallone as a client and that she is disabled she has seizures
and behavior problems. Shepard indicated that he knew Stallone had been a client at the facility since before
he began working there. Shepard told me that Stallone by signing and um he cannot sign very
well Shepard told me that he did have contact with Stallone 4-5 times during his shift and that he verbally
comforted her because of her roommate. Shepard was asked if he had sex with Stallone or tried to have sex
withherandhestatedno. Shepardwasasked aodhestated
no. Shepard denied all allegations of scam! contact with Stallone during the interview. During the interview
Shepard did indicate that he had given the Washington State Patrol a DNA. sample from a previous sexual
assault aliegation on a house he was working on 2-3 years ago. During the Shepard did state he'd
been in Stallone's room with the door open and the hallwayr lights on in and startled him. I
ended the interview with Shepard at around 0349 hours. I provided Shepard with a stvrot'oam cup of water
dining the interview. I wore clean latex gloves when I provided Shepard the cup. I observed that Shepard
took a few drinks from the cup during the interview. At the conclusion of the interview I collected the cop
wearing smther pair of latex gloves and provided it to Of?cer Vonlis to enter into evidence for later DNA.
