Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District (Corps) to participate in the development of a post authorization change report (PACR) for the Central Everglades Planning Project (CEPP). I acknowledge that Governor Rick Scott signed Senate Bill 10 into law on May 9, 2017. I also acknowledge your invitation for the Corps to participate in the development of a PACR for CEPP to address additional storage in the Everglades Agricultural Area ahead of the timeframe identified in the current, December 2016, Integrated Delivery Schedule. We are currently working through multiple options for the next steps to address your request. I expect to provide you with a fully formed response by August 31, 2017. During this period, we will work with the Corps? Vertical Team to ensure options are legally sufficient, policy compliant, and implementable- I offer continued collaboration to identify the appropriate path forward in furtherance of our long~standing partnership and mutual goals for South Florida.
