Heartfelt thanks to the District Attorney’s office, the Monroe County Sherriff’s office, Yates County Sherriff’s office and the NY State Troopers; without the combined efforts of all involved we would not have been able to reach some justice for Craig Rideout. Also to all media, thank you again, the respect and support this past year has been greatly appreciated. And to all of our friends and family that helped carry us through this trying process, we thank you all. The day the verdict came in was a bittersweet day for our family. Justice was served for Craig; however, the damage done to not only my family, but my brother’s family as well as our extended families and friends is not going to heal quickly. The ripple effect of the actions of the defendants will be far reaching for years to come. There have been and will continue to be negative comments made against Craig. We would ask, again, that careful consideration be given prior to believing the negativity. Craig wanted nothing but the best for his children even when they did not share the same opinions. Craig Rideout was great man, a son, a brother, a cousin, an uncle, a great-uncle, a mentor and friend to many. He will be missed by all who loved him. Robbyn M Drew and the family of Craig Rideout
