The hospital plans to hire more employees and serve more patients. Cincinnati and the tri-state area are going to bene?t immensely. Like all development, there are costs that come with the bene?ts. Avondale is the community which will see the most direct costs. Traf?c patterns will change, construction debris and noise are going to disrupt the neighborhood. On top of all that, Avondale needs signi?cant and sustainable investment to improve the lives of its residents. Children?s is in a unique pesition to aid in that investment. Their hospital expansion should not only bene?t their patients but also the community in which they are expanding.
