Since the last status conference, appl and ops held a group settlement meeting on 8/2/17. Appl stated that progress toward
settlement is being made and asked for the cases to remain on the referee's docket for an additional 90 days. Appl stated
that settlement discussions may continue on an individual basis due to a leak of the confidential settlement proposal to the
media.
The ops agree that the cases can remain on the referee's docket for 90 days.
The referee stated that the response to summary of consultation filed on July 10, 2017 was not substantive and explained
that the appl would need to file a substantive response prior to the referee considering entering any ruling in this case. Appl
noted her concerns with responding to the summary of consultation while settlement discussions were ongoing.
The Court set the next status conference for 11/9/17 at 10:00AM. At the next status conference, appl will update the Court
on the progress of the cases and if/when a substantive response to the summary of consultation will be filed.
