Could you please provide the average length of time taken to complete a digital examination of a mobile telephone seized as a production for each year (either financial year or calendar year) since 2013. By "length of time taken to complete a digital examination" I am referring to the time from when an examination request is initially submitted by an officer to an official examination result document being compiled by the relevant department. Divisional arrangements and recent changes to the way in which mobile phones are forensically examined means that information is only held for the three year period from 2013 to 2015 for Division (Greater Glasgow). Therefore in response, I can inform you that Police Scotland do not hold the information requested and Section 17(1) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 applies: notice that information is not held.
