Intel Update a. Protesters are still divided by the opening of Highway 1806, with the feeling it is still being patrol to protect the DAPL and worker. b. Protester are growing discouraged and loosing hope of being able to gain access to the drill pad. Past 24 Hours a. Hwy 1806 opened with roving patrol of LE. Started with the pilot car leading 3 per trip each way and increase as the day went along to upward of 13 each way. All proceeded well. b. Iowa Valves 80, 90 100, 240, and Southe Dakota valve 305 were attacked in the same manner as the Iowa valve 430 earlier in the week. This suspected to be a protester and investigations are ongoing in both state. c. Security personnel have been deployed to Iowa and South Dakota from North Dakota, with additional coming in on the 600 on Saturday 03.18.17 for the state of Iowa. d. Cleanup efforts continue 2. IOWA FUSION CENTER ii. Intel Update a. At approximately 1123 CST, MLV-IA-100 was reported to have been damaged by a similar method as MLV-IA-430’s blow torch puncture. b. At approximately 1320 CST, MLV-IA-80 and 90 were reported to be damaged as well. c. ISAT team was IVO of the attacks and responded with local LE and the FBI to assess and report. The FBI also responded and created a cast of imprinted tracks found at the site. These incidents causing damage to the DAPL are considered direct attacks on homeland energy infrastructure and are being treated as acts of domestic terrorism. Responded to a call at 0911 18 March 17 of valve damage, vandalism at MLV-IA240 in Boone County, IA. Valve site was torched as others, and had graffitti on the electronics building. It should be noted that the landowner ivo the Valve Site, was seen taking pictures of the FBI, Sunoco Logistics and TigerSwan security vehicles. is also one of the landowners involved in the immenent domain lawsuit against DAPL. iv. The activist known as Tawasi, recently left Bismark by bus. His destination is currently unknown but he has divulged that his destination is 36hrs away and it is not for "anything exciting". It is known that he still has a court date in Bismark for a trespassing charge which he intends on disputing.
