The list of stories highly critical of the president’s response to 
Charlottesville can go on and on, but if you choose to ignore the reality, 
it would only mean that you are fixing the facts to push a false narrative. 
 
Regarding remarks of the former Director of National Intelligence James 
Clapper, who called Sputnik a vehicle behind Russia’s disinformation 
campaign, let me remind you that this is the same person who lied to 
Congress under oath about US intelligence agencies not spying on 
Americans. Specifically, he lied about not collecting bulk intelligence data 
on hundreds of millions of Americans.  When confronted with the facts 
about the PRISM program, Mr. Clapper defended himself by saying that 
he gave the ”least untruthful” answer. If you are ok with “least 
untruthful” statements and take them for their face value, you are 
welcome to fully trust Mr. Clapper’s statement on Sputnik as well.
