Alaskans for Mike Chenault Chenault Files Letter of Intent for Statewide Office September 12, 2017-Representative Mike Chenault (R-Nikiski) today filed a letter of intent to run for statewide office with the Alaska Public Offices Commission. By filing a letter of intent, Rep. Chenault is able to raise funds and determine the amount of support that will be needed to run statewide. “I am looking at all the options to see if the support is there to run for Governor in 2018,” said Chenault. “I’m not satisfied with the direction of the current administration and where the state is headed. We need to resolve our fiscal issues, create a climate where businesses can thrive, and continue to develop an educational system that will enable our children to learn and be part of our future work force.” Representative Chenault served as Alaska’s longest consecutive Speaker of the House from 2009-2016. He also held the chairs of Committee on Committees, the special committee of Military and Veterans’ Affair, the co-chair of House Finance for 4 years and served on various resource related committees. He is dedicated to building strong resource development in the state while balancing state finances and providing a sound, educational system that will benefit all children and students. Please call Representative Chenault, 398-1010, for more information. 47356 Holt Lamplight Road, Kenai, AK 99611 907-398-1010 AlaskansforMikeChenault@gmail.com
