FAMILY STATEMENT REGARDING THE TRAGIC DEATH OF 19 
KENNEKA JENKINS AT THE CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL

Serious questions remain regarding what happened to Kenneka Jenkins? at the
rowne Plaza Hotel on September 9, 2017. Kenneka was found dead in a freezer
of the Crowne Plaza Hotel more than 36 hours after her family reported her missing
and told hotel staff she was somewhere on their premises. DeSpite requests for all
evidence, we have only been provided snippets of video, none of which shows
Kenneka Jenkins walking into a freezer. The family has not been provided any
video or other evidence of Kenneka Jenkins walking into a freezer. Serious
questions remain as to how she ended up in a Crowne Plaza Hotel freezer and why
it took a day and a half for the hotel to find Kenneka. Her death requires a thorough
complete and independent investigation.

The family thanks the public for their prayers, concerns and for brining attention to
this tragedy. She has retained Larry Rogers, Jr. of Power Rogers Smith LLP and
Sam Adam, Jr. to conduct an investigation and speak on behalf of the family. No
other person is or has been authorized to speak on behalf of Kenneka Jenkins'
family. Please respect their privacy as they mourn and prepare to bury their
beautiful, 19 y/o loved one.
