ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE
On October 13, 2017, the court received a Complaint filed “pro se” by Plaintiff Las Vegas
Public Radio, Inc. ECF No. 1. No individual is identified as a plaintiff. It is well established that
an “artificial entity,” such as a corporation, which can act only through its agents, cannot proceed
pro se. See Am. Airways Charters, Inc. v. Regan, 746 F.2d 865, 873 n.14 (D.C. Cir. 1984).
Accordingly, Plaintiff Las Vegas Public Radio is hereby ordered to show cause no later than
October 27, 2017, why this matter should not be dismissed. The entry of an appearance by a
member of this bar or a pro hac vice applicant before that date shall obviate the need to respond to
this Order.
