Dear Doug,
Further to our meeting and discussions In Cyprus, herewith we are sending you an
update on actions taken/to be taken in regards to the corporate entities and
individuals included in the list you provided us with prior to the meeting.
The attached spreadsheet separates the accounts into 3 following categories:
1. 46 accounts selected for closure for accounts inducted In this category closure
will be instructed toy the Bank in the course of next week
2. 13 customers selected for enounced background checks - accounts falling under
this category w ill be checked extensively, in clu d in g enhanced hackgiound checks on
the owners/controllers and full review of historical data on transactions, etc. We shar
update you after the checks have been completed as to what action wuuld be taken
by the Bank based on the information identified
3. 2 accounts closed after the meeting - this category includes the accounts we
dosed Immediately after the meeting (this list does no indu d e the 33 accounts which
had already been dosed before we received the list from Deutsche Bank)
