REPORTING OFFICER NARRATIVE OCH - Police Department 16?002 75 0 Victim Offense Date Time Reported COOPER, CHARLES GREGORY DEA REPORT Tue 04/12/2016 10:2 7 At 6:56am Danville 911 received a call from Goodyear tire and rubber with information that an associate had been injured. Once police units arrived on scene it was discovered that the Goodyear Emergency Response Brigade had removed Charles Cooper from in the pit which is located under the #5 Banbury machine. The pit contains steam and hot water, it is approximately 8ft deep. Personnel at Goodyear stated that he was last seen around 1am and employee?s started searching for him around Sam. Cooper was a mechanic at the plant and had been employed since 1998. On today?s date Cooper was sent to repair the #5 Banbury machine due to the belt breaking on the skimmer. C00per was assigned to repair the machine by himself. Brian Shore discovered COOper in the pit by shining his ?ashlight into the pit, Shore stated that this was sometime after 6am but was unable to give a speci?c time. The Emergence response brigade responded and Ronald Setliff was able to hook Cooper by his coveralls which allowed him to get two ropes around his feet and were able to pull him out of the pit.
