SUBJECT: FOIA REQUEST 

This letter responds to your Freedom of Information Act
(FOIA) request dated November 9, 2017, in which you sought a
copy of investigative documents from Naval Station Guantanamo
Bay regarding an incident that occurred on November 3, 2017.
Your request was received on November 13, 2017 and assigned case
number It has been processed pursuant to
the FOIA, [5 U.S.C. 552].

We have conducted a search for possible responsive records
and have determined documents you have requested are not
available for a release determination at this time. Documents
compiled for a pending investigative are not available for
review under FOIA until the report is final and all outstanding
action is complete.

Exemption authorizes the protection of records
compiled for investigative purposes that could reasonably be
expected to interfere with a pending investigation. We are
unable to provide you with documents or evidence because
disclosure of this information could reasonably be expected to
cause harm. [5 U.S.C. 552 

You have the right to an appeal. It must be received within
90 calendar days from the date of this letter. You may submit
your appeal at foiaonline.regulations.gov. Retrieve your
original request, and click on the "create appeal" tab in the
left?hand column. The basic information from your request will
be duplicated for you, and you can type in the basis of your
appeal.
