2017 School Performance Scores &  Letter Grades OPSB Accountability Committee Meeting November 14, 2017 Statewide Transition to Higher Standards  Changes in Assessments     2015: PARCC administered in grades 3‐8 ELA & Math 2016: “New” LEAP 2020 was administered, containing not more than 49.9% questions from PARCC or any  other multi‐state assessment consortia 2017: LDE includes the Social Studies results from the new LEAP 2020 SS assessment in SPS for all schools Changes in Proficiency Standard    2013: No partial credit given for “Approaching Basic” (Level 2) 2015: State announces gradual transition to higher standard, from current “Basic” (Level 3) to “Mastery”  (Level 4) – consistent with NAEP and national standards 2017: High School EOC assessments will be adjusted to have 5 levels, with a “level 4” being proficient.    Also announced a gradual transition to a higher ACT score for proficiency.
