I have worked in the music business for over 30 years and I have known Russell as both an employer
and a friend during that period of time. I am still working in the music business to this day.

Unfortunately, because of the daily accusations being leveled at notable people every day, I have
decided to keep my name out of this statement at this time. Should it ever become legally necessary
for me to share the below information, I would do so.

Nevertheless, I would like to address the allegations made by Keri Khalighi to the LA Times as they
were related to me by Russell's attorney.

I was a regular guest at Russell's New York City apartment back in the 905; so much so that the
doormen knew me by name and let me right up to the duplex each time that I would come by. was
at Russel's apartment for at least 4 or 5 hours each day on the weekend in question.

On Saturday, I saw people coming and going throughout the day. All of us were having a good time
talking, watching movies and just hanging out. This included Keri as well.

At no time while I was in the apartment on both days was anybody in distress or held against his or
her free will.

At some point I observed Keri and Russell going upstairs to Russell's bedroom on that Saturday

afternoon. I did not hear or observe anything unusual during the time that Russell and Keri were in
the bedroom.

Later that evening, Russell left the apartment to go to Neil's. A little while later I observed Keri
leaving the apartment to also join Russell under her own free will. I went to Neil's and met up with
the group later that evening. Keri and Russell seemed to have a very good time at Neil's that evening.

The next day when I was back at the apartment Keri was also there. She was watching movies in
Russell's bedroom almost the entire day. At some point, Russell left to go to Mr. Chow's that evening
and a little while later I observed Keri leaving the apartment, again of her own free will and not
displaying any sign of anger, distress, annoyance, rage, displeasure or irritation. She seemed
perfectly normal.

My name is Anthony ?Mac" McNair. I was an assistant to Mr. Russell Simmons from
2985 through 1992. resided inMr. Simmons? residence throughout that time period. 1 have
been informed of the allegations being made by Keri Clansson Khalighi again'stt Mr. Simmons. I
was in Mt. Simnton?s home on the Saturday and Sunday in question over 25 years ago when
Ms. Kltallghi was in Mr. Simmons home. There were also three other individuals in the
apartment that day when Ms. Khaliglti was at the house. Irecall that at some point that day. Ms.
Khalighi went upstairs to the master bedroom With Mr. Simmons on her own volition and
without any coercion or e?xerted upon her by anyone in the room. lalso
observed when s. Khalighi came back downstairs a little while later. She was composed, alert
and talkative, and she exhibited no signsof distress. While Ms. Khalighi was upstairs 1 not
heat or observe anything unusual. A little while later, I observed Mr. Simmons and Ms. Khalighi

leave the apartment to go to Neils. i met Up with them a short time later at Neils where we had
dinner with some other people as well. At some point, Mr. Simmons and Ms. Khalighi lett Neils

and went back to the apartment. i came back to the apartment a little while later. I did net hear
or observe any suspicious conduct throughout the overnight period. The next morning was
downstairs in the apartment when Ms. Khalighi came down to leave. Upon Ms. Khalighi leaving
the apartment to go to Neils, 'i did not notice any visible signs of distress or that anything

improper had occurred.

STATEMENT 

 

Over 25 years ago, on a Saturday afternoon, I went to Russell Simmons? apartment in New York
City. There were other people there that day including Anthony "Mack? McNair. Later another person
arrived named Keri. While in the apartment that afternoon, Russell and Keri began to fool around. At
that point in that afternoon i decided to leave the apartment. When i came back several hours later to
meet up with people for a night on the town, I saw Russell and Keri step into the room where we were
all meeting. They had clearlyjust showered. Her hair was wet. Everyone seemed cordial and happy to
go out for the evening. At no point during the time that I spent with Russell and Keri that Saturday did i

observe Keri appearing to be in distress or doing anything that appeared to be against her own free will.
