In was revealed in Question Period 1n the House of Commons today that a Morneau Shepell shareholder sold 680, 000 shares worth $10 million on November 2015. Just one week later, on December the Finance Minister int1oduced a motion in the House of Commons to raise taxes effective as of January 2017. Immediately following the introduction of these new tax measures. Morneau Shepell stock dropped by Whoever sold 680,000 shares saved $500,000 by avoiding the drop in the stock market. During Question Period today, the Finance Minister did not answer whether it was him who sold the shares; however, Minister Morneau told John Ivison from the National Post in October 2017 that he sold 680,000 shares soon after his election in late 2015 (the exact time was not reported). If the Finance Minister used his inside knowledge to sell his shares at an advantageous time to financially profit, it would be in direct violation of the rules that prevent someone from profiting directly from their work in government. I respectfully ask that you look into this matter as urgently as possible. Sincerely, 11%Cillec Nathan Cullen 11athan.cullenta'parlgcea CANADA 150
