Dear Mr. Gray,

The Mol?l?at County Commissioners are aware ol?the recent hire onane Kessler as the River District?s new
Communication Director. Mr. Kessler has a long established reputation throughout the West Slope for his
extreme environmentalism and anti-oil and gas stances. One only needs to google his name to be convinced of
this.

We screened Mr. Kessler?s social media after we heard of his hire hoping to find that he had 'neutralized? his
stances in light of his new position with the District. Unfortunately, our hopes could not be veri?ed. He has
?retweeted? environmental, pro?democrat, and anti-republican statements as recent as August.

We question Mr. Kessler?s ability to represent the District?s tax payers. We question his believability and
trustworthiness to represent the River District and its member counties. Not only has Moffat County supported
wind and solar energy projects in our county. but we also ?rmly defend and need coal and oil and gas
operations in our County. To have the press image of the River District already tainted against oil and gas does
not serve us well.

We understand there will be an executive session to review personnel matters at your October 17?h meeting and
we request you consider our concerns in your executive session.
