METROPOLITAN POLICE DEPARTMENT Peter Newsham OFFICE OF COMMUNICATIONS Dustin Sternbeck Chief of Police Director NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Public Information Office: 202- 727-4383 December 7, 2017 Homicide: Unit Block of Forrester Street, Southwest (Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred in the Unit block of Forrester Street, Southwest, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. At approximately 10:56 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival on the scene, members located an adult male suffering from a stab wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. After all lifesaving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead. The decedent has been identified as 41-year-old Ricky Williams, of Southeast, DC. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
