Communications Director The Colorado River District, based in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, is seeking candidates for a Communications Director. The Communications Director works with the External Affairs Manager to implement the District’s legislative policies and strategies and may act as a Project Manager on designated projects. The Communications Director will also assist with the District’s public information and outreach efforts including preparing a variety of public informational documents and reports, responding to inquiries and presenting to a variety of interest groups. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree (advanced degree is desirable) and five or more years’ experience in communications or related field. Applicant must also have experience in state, local and federal governmental relations and have some knowledge of water resource issues, water administration and water law. Candidates must possess outstanding written and oral communication skills and have the ability to think and communicate on the fly. Travel is required.
