FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE HCC resumes veteran program for new students HOUSTON [Dec. 15, 2017] – Houston Community College announced today that it has resumed enrolling new students into its veterans program. HCC currently has more than 1,900 students receiving veteran’s benefits. Veteran students are provided educational and financial resources, fast-track workforce training and job placement opportunities. The enrolling of new veteran students was placed on temporary hold on Dec 4, 2017 after discrepancies were found related to HCC’s verification of student’s military status, number of course hours and their continued participation in the program. The Texas Veterans Commission says those issues have now been resolved and the veterans program has been re-instated in full.
