The Manitoba Chiropractors Association (MCA) is a proponent of
preventative healthcare and recognizes that vaccination and
immunization are established public health practices in the protection
of individuals from infectious diseases. Vaccination is not within the
scope of chiropractic practice.
The MCA directs its members to not provide advice on the topic of
vaccination and immunization. Patients are encouraged to be an
active participant in their healthcare by making informed decisions.
Appropriate sources for patient consultation regarding vaccination
and immunization are public health professionals for whom
vaccination and immunization is within their scope of practice.
