Seattle Public Schools is the largest K-12 school system in Washington state. The district operates 103 schools, divided up as 62 elementary schools, 10 K-8 schools, 12 middle schools, 11 high schools and 8 service schools. Seattle Public Schools represents students from 154 countries of origin, with 33.9 percent of students eligible for free and reduced-priced meals and 5.4 percent experiencing homelessness.
