REDMAP Video will conclude and Speaker Bosma will introduce Ed Gillespie: Gillespie Talking poi nts/speech: Thank you Speaker Bosma and Leader Berger. The RSLC exists to elect great Republican leaders like you and we appreciate all that you give back to the RSLC so we can grow and become stronger. I think that the video recapping our REDMAP project shows what can impact we can have when we work together on state races down ballot. Republicans today not only do we have control of the US. House, but because of the efforts last year we have a much better chance of keeping it after redistricting. And based on what has happened in Washington since President Obama was eiected, that is a good thing for our country. This Administration and the Democrats in congress who share the same agenda want to move us away from our free enterprise system where individuals are free to rise and fall according to their own God given talents and abilities, toward a more centralized economy where millions of decisions made every day by free Americans in the marketplace are replaced by hundreds of decisions made by political appointees in Washington?decisions about everything from what light bulbs we can buy to what kinds of cars we can drive to what types of foods we can eat to what kind of health care we can have. Promises that the Trillion?dollar Obama health care bill would bring down the deficit, reduce premiums, and allow people to who were happy with the insurance they had to keep it have given way to the realities that it is adding to our nation?s debt, premiums are going up and people are losing the insurance they had. The health ca re bill will make worse an annual deficit that just last week we learned is now a staggering $1.5 Trillion. This president has generated more debt in his first two yea rs in office than all other presidents combined?from George Washington to George W. Bush. Or as my old boss would say, from the first George W. to the last George W. Now, we all know that the ups and downs that come with a dynamic market~driven economy can be frustrating and even a little frightening sometimes, but we also understand that that \mm dynamic characteristic is essential to the economic growth that creates the wealth they?re obsessed with redistributing. I in fact, under this Administration, the percentage of Americans who will pay no Federal income taxes is projected to rise to 47%, and the percentage paying all the Federal income taxes will decline to us well on our way to a nation where there will be one person who pays no Federal income taxes for every person who does. In the name of ?fairness,? hahc of all Americans won?t be paying any income taxes and the other half will be paying all the income taxes, there will be no check on Federal spending. Sbund fair to you? There will be a lot more Federal employees and they will be earning on average a lot more than the private sector employees whose taxes pay their government salaries and benefits?and those government workers will be running our auto companies, health care industry, big banks, the energy sector, the Internet, and student loans. We understand that private sector investment is better than public sector stimulus; that ambition isn?t the same thing as greed and that punishing success only results in less success; We understand that prosperity results from an economy based on creating wealth, not redistributing it; and that if you truly ca re about helping the least among us and lifting millions of people out of poverty, history proves you shouid favor a system of democratic capitalism over a government run economy. And that is the why it great to have a Republican controlled House in Congress, but we also have a majority in the state legislatures and Governor?s mansions in the states which is giving Americans an alternative view on how to govern. Highlight Governor McDonnell and Governor Christie in 2010 and transition to: ?Governor Corbett, and others who are working with Republican majorities to deliver balanced budgets without raising taxes, education reform that rewards the best teachers, and gets government out of the way of the job creating small businesses. That contrast between what is going on in Tallahassee, Harrisburg, Lansing, or Madison and what the Democrats have done in Washington could not be more clear.? Conclude with thanking the RLCC corporate members for their investment, we did not spill a drop, made maximum impact and are please to be here to celebrate the results with these legislative leaders and RLCC supporters.
